Happy Thanksgiving my friends! Consider it all joy!
Today I woke up with the sentence: “Consider it all joy!’ And you may think: Now that’s a happy thought to wake up with… however, here as in life, context matters!
James 1:2-4 : Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials !
I am about to go on a ministry trip and as always, that comes with a certain measure of spiritual warfare. Good thing this time is, I am not preparing on the ground, just flying in and out, but I can feel it!
As Gods children we always stick out, light doesn’t mingle well with darkness and if we decide to live in the light our surrounding will often be clearly divided just by our presence or better said, His presence in us. We carry the fragrance of Christ that is, for some a sweet aroma and for those who still dwell in darkness it is the stench of death! So yeah, I am not a foreigner of trials and neither of errors! Haha!
So my friend, in the midst of trials today and in this season, remember. The key is joy! Nehemiah said: “The joy of the Lord is your strength” but right before that He also said: “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, (That was extra put in there for Thanksgiving celebrations!) and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
Enjoyment matters! And shared enjoyment is a powerful weapon of warfare. This is true worship, to lift our gaze towards the glorious One and his goodness and help others to also lift their gaze to Him, feasting in the midst of trials and oppression on Gods goodness, celebrating everything that is good and sharing it with one another. That is the power of joy that changes our hearts and the atmosphere around us and it has the power to bring heaven unto earth and change history!
So this Thanksgiving, let’s raise a Hallelujah in the middle of the mystery and experience how the true light of heaven pierces the darkness and Joy breaks forth!
And then carried by this joy : let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1: 4
Enjoy the grace that is present and new today !
Love, Volker

That was brilliant and so fitting for my life at the present time.
“The Key is Joy!”
“Do not grieve… “
What a wonderful command!
Why? Because while grief will drag you down Joy will lift you up! When we lift up our eyes…our help comes. Our help comes from the Lord, the maker of Heaven and earth.
Why are you cast down oh my soul?
Hope in God MY saviour and MY God!
Thank you Volker♥️

Thanks Volker it was one of the scriptures I was praying over yesterday yes there will always be trials ,tests to prove the indestructible faith and hope of our Lord Jesus in us . Enduring under a trial is the proof that it's Jesus we trust and nothing else ,no one else not ourselves either . Shalom brother you are that fragrance of christ to many all love in jesus
